REOPENING PLAN - CATEGORY 1 (Green)
11/23/20 Update
We remain in the yellow category, and the average case rate for Boise County has essentailly remained the same (29.98 currently compared to 21.89 last week). Hopefully, the average case rate will remain static or decrease, but we are preparing for a move into Category 3 (RED), and red will mean some serious changes, including the possibility of going remote. As stated before, our Category 1 (Green) plan is fundamentally as strong as our Category 2 (Yellow) plan, so we will stick with our green plan for now.
We are doing our part at the school through frequent cleaning/sanitizing, physical distancing, and mask-wearing when physical distancing is not possible, but we can only control our environment Mon-Thurs from 8am-4pm. We have no control over the hours/days our school is not in session, and we rely on all of our stakeholders to do their part in keeping the county’s COVID rate down so we can continue with in-person instruction.
Central District Health gives us weekly updates, and we will keep you informed of those updates and any changes to our plans and practices needed due to a change in the spread of COVID in our county.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Superintendent Chesnut at [email protected].
